Résumé : L’idéalisation de la maison individuelle au plus près de la nature a une longue histoire, qui remonte en Occident au mythe arcadien et en Orient au mythe de la Grande Identité (Daidou), en passant par l’invention du paysage dans la Chine des Six Dynasties, pour aboutir, vers la fin du XXe siècle, à l’urbain diffus (kakusan toshika), dont l’empreinte écologique est insoutenable.
