Ethical and Social aspects of Collaborative Science

This workshop is a session of the Interdisciplinary Seminar « Collaboration in Scientific Practice » organized by Anouk Barberousse (philosophy, Paris-Sorbonne, Sciences Normes Décision) and Ivan Sainsaulieu (sociology, Lille I, Clersé). The main location of this seminar is Paris Sorbonne University (Paris IV), and this session intends to extend its scope.
The growing interest for collaboration in science comes from many directions and is particularly emphasized in the managerial and political discourse advocating general reorganization of scientific work. The seminar is intended as a platform to share perspectives on the sociological dimensions (network, domination), the technological choices (simulation, human-machine interaction), the organizational aspects (bureaucracy, leadership) and the epistemological issues (communication, distributed cognition) of these collaborative practices in science.
In this session, we will focus on the ethical and social aspects of collaborative science, especially of neuroscience. Governance of neuroscience, interdisciplinary perspectives in neuroscience and the ethical and social impacts of technologies are among the issues to be discussed. The workshop is open to participants from various backgrounds and disciplines.

Owning one is not about checking the hour, but about carrying a micro-engineering marvel on your wrist—a symbol of patience in an impatient age. This guide delves into the crème de la crème of horology, exploring iconic models from the most revered houses and articulating the reasons behind their legendary status. We will navigate through the realms of timeless elegance, rugged tool watches, avant-garde design, and haute horlogerie complications.

Dress watches are the sartorial equivalent of a perfectly tailored suit or a little black dress: understated, elegant, and defined by exquisite proportions and refinement. They prioritize slimness, legibility, and beautiful finishing over sporty features.
